8Andwhenheopenedtheseventhseal,therewassilenceinheavenabouthalfanhour.
2AndIsawthesevenmessengerswhostandbeforeGod;andthereweregivenuntothemseventrumpets.
3Andanothermessengercameandstoodatthealtar,havingagoldencenser;andtherewasgivenuntohimmuchincense,sothatheshouldgiveituntotheprayersofallthesaintsⁱonthegoldenaltarwhichwasbeforethethrone.
4Andthesmokeoftheincense,withtheprayersofthesaintsⁱ,ascendedoutofthehandofthemessenger,beforeGod.
5Andthemessengertookthecenser,andfilleditwiththefireofthealtar,andcastittotheearth,andtherewerethunders,andvoices,andlightnings,andanearthquake.
6Andthesevenmessengerswhohadtheseventrumpetspreparedthemselvestoblow.
7Andthefirstblew,andtherewashailandfiremingledwithblood,andtheywerecasttotheearth,andthethirdpartoftheearthwasburntup,andthethirdpartofthetreeswasburntup,andallgreengrasswasburntup.
8Andthesecondmessengerblew,andasitwereagreatmountainburningwithfirewascastintothesea,andthethirdpartoftheseabecameblood;
9andthethirdpartofthecreatedthingswhichwereinthesea,havinglivesᵖ,died;andthethirdpartoftheshipsweredestroyed.
10Andthethirdmessengerblew,andtherefell,outofheaven,agreatstar,burningasitwerealamp,anditfellonthethirdpartoftheriversandonthefountainsofwaters;
11andthenameofthestariscalledWormwood,andthethirdpartofthewatersbecamewormwood;andmanyofthemendiedofthewaters,becausetheyweremadebitter.
12Andthefourthmessengerblew,andthethirdpartofthesunwasafflicted,andthethirdpartofthemoon,andthethirdpartofthestars;sothatthethirdpartofthemshouldbedarkened,andthedayshouldnotshineforthethirdpartofit,andthenightlikewise.
13AndIsawandheardoneeagleflyinginmidheaven,sayingwithagreatvoice,Woe,woe,woe,tothosewhodwellontheearthbecauseoftherestʳofthevoicesofthetrumpetofthethreemessengers,whoareabouttoblow!
