5AndIsawontherighthandofhimwhosatonthethroneascrollwrittenwithinandontheback,sealedwithsevenseals.
2AndIsawastrongmessengerproclaimingwithagreatvoice,Whoisworthytoopenthescrollandtoreleasethesealsthereof?
3Andnoneinheaven,noronearth,neitherundertheearth,wasabletoopenthescroll,neithertolookintoit.
4AndIweptmuch,becausenonewasfoundworthytoopenthescroll,neithertolookintoit.
5Andoneoftheelderssaidⁿuntome,Weepnot:behold,theLionofthetribeofJudah,theRootofDavid,hasovercomesoastoopenthescrollandthesevensealsthereof.
6AndIsaw,inthemidstofthethroneandofthefourcreaturesandinthemidstoftheelders,aLambstandingasifslain,havingsevenhornsandseveneyes,whicharethe[seven]SpiritsofGodsentintoalltheearth.
7Andhecameandtookoutoftherighthandofhimwhosatonthethrone.
8Andwhenhetookthescroll,thefourcreaturesandthetwentyfoureldersfellbeforetheLamb,havingeachoneaharpandgoldenvialsfullofincense,whicharetheprayersofthesaintsⁱ.
9Andtheysangⁿanewsong,saying,Worthyareyoutotakethescrollandtoopenthesealsthereof:foryouwereslainandbought[–/us]untoGodbyyourbloodoutofeverytribe,andtongue,andpeople,andnation;
10andhavemadethem[–/untoourGod]akingdomandpriests,andthey[shallreign/reign]ontheearth.
11AndIsaw,andIheardavoiceofmanymessengersroundaboutthethroneandthecreaturesandtheelders,andthenumberofthemwastenthousandtimestenthousand,andthousandsofthousands;
12sayingwithagreatvoice,WorthyistheLambwhowasslaintoreceivethemight,andriches,andwisdom,andstrength,andhonor,andglory,andblessing.
13Andeverycreatedthingwhichisinheaven,andontheearth,[andundertheearth,]and[in/on]thesea,andallthatareinthem,heardIsaying,UntohimwhositsonthethroneanduntotheLambbetheblessing,andthehonor,andtheglory,andthedominionuntotheagesoftheages.
14Andthefourcreaturessaid,Amen.Andtheeldersfellandworshipped.
