Chapter 2
Unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Ephesus—write:—These—things—says—he—who—holds—the—seven—stars—in—his—right—hand,—who—walks—in—the—midst—of—the—seven—golden—lampstands;—
I—know—your—works,—and—your—labor,—and—your—patience,—and—that—you—cannot—bear—those—who—are—evil,—and—you—have—tested—those—who—say—they—are—apostles,—and—are—not,—and—have—found—them—liars:—
and—have—patience,—and—have—borne—for—my—name,—and—have—not—become—weary.—
But—I—have—this—against—you,—that—the—love—that—you—had—at—first,—you—leftˡ.—
Remember—therefore—from—where—you—have—fallen,—and—repent,—and—do—the—first—works;—or—else—I—come—unto—you—and—will—move—your—lampstand—out—of—its—place,—except—you—repent.—
But—this—you—have,—that—you—hate—the—works—of—the—Nicolaitans,—which—I—also—hate.—
He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches.—Unto—him—who—overcomes—will—I—give—to—eat—of—the—treeˣ—of—life,—which—is—in—the—paradise—of—God.—
And—unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Smyrna—write:—These—things—says—the—[firstborn/first]—and—the—last,—who—became—dead—and—lived;—
I—know—your—tribulation—and—your—poverty,—(but—you—are—rich)—and—the—blasphemy—from—those—who—say—they—are—Jews,—and—are—not,—but—are—a—synagogue—of—Satan.—
Fear—none—of—the—things—which—you—are—about—to—suffer.—Behold,—the—devil—is—about—to—cast—some—of—you—into—prison,—that—you—all—may—be—tested;—and—you—all—shall—have—tribulation—ten—days.—Be—faithful—unto—death,—and—I—will—give—you—the—crown—of—life.—
He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches.—He—who—overcomes—shall—in—no—way—be—hurt—by—the—second—death.—
And—unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Pergamum—write:—These—things—says—he—who—has—the—sharp—two-edged—sword;—
I—know—where—you—dwell,—where—the—throne—of—Satan—is,—and—you—hold—fast—my—name,—and—did—not—deny—my—faith,—even—in—the—days—of—Antipas,—my—witness,—my—faithful—one,—who—was—killed—among—you,—where—Satan—dwells.—
But—I—have—a—little—against—you,—because—you—have—some—there—who—hold—the—teaching—of—Balaam,—who—taught—Balac—to—cast—a—stumbling—block—before—the—sons—of—Israel,—to—eat—things—sacrificed—unto—idols—and—to—commit—fornication.—
So—also—you—have—some—who—hold—the—teaching—of—the—Nicolaitans,—likewise.—
Repent—therefore;—or—else—I—come—unto—you—quickly—and—will—war—with—them—with—the—sword—of—my—mouth.—
He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches.—Unto—him—who—overcomes—will—I—give—of—the—hidden—manna,—and—will—give—him—a—white—stone—and—on—the—stone—a—new—name—written,—which—none—knows—saving—he—who—receives—it.—
And—unto—the—messenger—of—the—church—in—Thyatira—write:—These—things—says—the—Son—of—God,—who—has—his—eyes—as—a—flame—of—fire,—and—whose—feet—are—like—brilliant—bronze;—
I—know—your—works,—and—your—love,—and—your—faith,—and—your—service,—and—your—patience,—and—your—last—works—are—more—than—the—first.—
But—I—have—this—against—you,—that—you—allowˡ—[the—woman/your—wife]—Jezebel,—who—calls—herself—a—prophetess,—and—she—teaches—and—deceives—my—bond-servants—to—commit—fornication—and—to—eat—things—sacrificed—unto—idols.—
And—I—have—given—her—a—season—to—repent,—and—she—desires—not—to—repent—of—her—fornication.—
Behold,—I—cast—her—into—[a—bed/prison]—and—those—who—commit—adultery—with—her—into—great—tribulation,—except—they—repent—of—her—works,—
and—her—children—I—will—kill—with—death.—And—all—the—churches—shall—knowᵍ—that—I—am—he—who—searches—the—innermost—parts—and—hearts,—and—I—will—give—unto—every—one—of—you—according—to—your—works.—
But—unto—you—I—say,—unto—the—restʳ—in—Thyatira,—as—many—as—have—not—this—teaching,—who—have—not—knownᵍ—the—depths—of—Satan,—as—they—say;—I—cast—on—you—no—other—burden.—
But—that—which—you—all—have—hold—fast—till—I—come.—
And—he—who—overcomes—and—who—keeps—my—works—unto—the—end,—unto—him—will—I—give—power—over—the—nations:—
and—he—shall—ruleˢ—them—with—a—rod—of—iron;—as—the—objects—of—clay—are—broken—to—pieces:—even—as—I—also—have—received—from—my—Father.—
And—I—will—give—him—the—morning—star.—
He—who—has—an—ear,—let—him—hear—what—the—Spirit—says—unto—the—churches.—
