8Andwhenhehadopenedtheseventhseal,therewassilenceinheavenaboutthespaceofhalfanhour.
2AndIsawthesevenmessengerswhostoodbeforeGod;andtothemweregivenseventrumpets.
3Andanothermessengercameandstoodatthealtar,havingagoldencenser;andtherewasgivenuntohimmuchincense,thatheshouldofferitwiththeprayersofallsaintsuponthegoldenaltarwhichwasbeforethethrone.
4Andthesmokeoftheincense,whichcamewiththeprayersofthesaints,ascendedupbeforeGodoutofthemessenger’shand.
5Andthemessengertookthecenser,andfilleditwithfireofthealtar,andcastitintotheearth:andtherewerethunders,andvoices,andlightnings,andanearthquake.
6Andthesevenmessengerswhohadtheseventrumpetspreparedthemtoblow.
7Thefirstmessengerblew,andtherefollowedhailandfiremingledwithblood,andtheywerecastupontheearth:andthethirdpartoftreeswasburntup,andallgreengrasswasburntup.
8Andthesecondmessengerblew,andasitwereagreatmountainburningwithfirewascastintothesea:andthethirdpartoftheseabecameblood;
9Andthethirdpartofthecreatureswhichwereinthesea,andhadlife,died;andthethirdpartoftheshipsweredestroyed.
10Andthethirdmessengerblew,andtherefellagreatstarfromheaven,burningasitwerealamp,anditfelluponthethirdpartoftherivers,anduponthefountainsofwaters;
11AndthenameofthestariscalledWormwood:andthethirdpartofthewatersbecamewormwood;andmanymendiedofthewaters,becausetheyweremadebitter.
12Andthefourthmessengerblew,andthethirdpartofthesunwassmitten,andthethirdpartofthemoon,andthethirdpartofthestars;soasthethirdpartofthemwasdarkened,andthedayshonenotforathirdpartofit,andthenightlikewise.
13AndIbeheld,andheardan[eagle]flyingthroughthemidstofheaven,sayingwithagreatvoice,Woe,woe,woe,totheinhabitantsoftheearthbyreasonoftheothervoicesofthetrumpetofthethreemessengers,whichareyettoblow!
